Mental Training is training, and the skills must be practiced until they become automatic. Mental Training is NOT therapy for athletes. Mental Training is NOT a motivational talk prior to competitions. Mental Training is NOT positive thinking. Mental Training is NOT synonymous with breath training (although biofeedback might include respiratory training). I will clarify this topic and will also share more about:

The latest Biofeedback technology that was used to improve the performance of Olympians and the special forces in the military.

Some of the performance psychology methods that were used to train professional soccer teams in Europe such as the AC Milan.

The role of performance psychology for professionals and the science that is behind the most sophisticated methods to enhance athletic performance.
This workshop is not about...
-
A training program to teach you how to coach the mental preparation of athletes
-
It is not advice-giving to improve the athlete's mental game
-
Offering individual and free consultation on how to deal with the competitive pressure

Hello, I am Andrea!
I am trained in psychophysiological approaches to sports performance. As a mental performance consultant, I received aĀ masterās degreeĀ inĀ sportĀ and performance psychology.Ā I am certified by the American Board of Sport Psychology and Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA).Ā
As a professional athlete,Ā I traveled worldwide and competed for over ten years, representing Hawaii and the USA in the Bodyboarding World Tour. My experience as an athlete gives me insight into the world of sports, and graduate schools do not teach you that.Ā

Other things we will discuss:
-
Protocols were used to train the military special forces and Olympians (the protocol I use), including psychophysiological approaches to sports performance.
-
What is the role of a therapist, consultant (what I do), and life coach (related to athletic termination)?
-
Mindbody connection and stress management related to psychological stressors in sports and life.
-
Muscle to mind and mind to muscle techniques.
